The Joint Nations Grizzly Bear Initiative is a coalition of multiple First Nations, British Columbia officials, conservation organizations, and subject matter experts. This initiative honours the cultural significance of grizzly bears to First Nations and stewards their recovery in southwest British Columbia.

Sarah developed text and visuals for a two-page infographic to support communication about the initiative to diverse audiences. Due to the wide range of stakeholders and rights-holders involved, the competing land uses and human-wildlife conflict associated with grizzly bears, and the need for accurate and authentic cultural representation of Indigenous communities, it was crucial to co-develop messaging and visuals that resonated with and respected all reviewers. The artwork and messaging were refined based on multiple rounds of collaboration and feedback.

The visual assets from the infographic are now used as the primary branding of the initiative across the Joint Nations Grizzly Bear Initiative website.
