New Alberta wildlife designs in the shop!

As part of my part-time gig with the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society Northern Alberta (CPAWS NAB) chapter, I have been doing weekly illustrations of Albertan wildlife! They have been appearing every Sunday on the CPAWS NAB Twitter and Instagram for their Species Sunday series. These weekly drawings have been a wonderful way to practice my artistic and writing skills, as we publish a fun fact alongside the images every week!

An example of a Species Sunday illustration featuring the unique Athabasca Rainbow Trout.

The team at CPAWS NAB has kindly allowed me to re-print my illustrations for sale, so I am happy to announce that I now have several new Alberta wildlife designs up in my Redbubble shop! The designs include both plant and animal species, and I look forward to expanding the collection as time goes on.

I am very excited to be able to share this work, as I personally feel it’s very exciting to have products out there that feature local species. As a consumer of nature-themed products myself, I find that it can often be difficult to find designs that are relevant to our local ecosystems (aside from the hugely popular species like bears and wolves). I hope that this collection will help fill that niche, and that it might even be a bit educational as a way for people to discover more about the natural world in our own backyards here in Alberta!

You can browse the designs at my online store here. Thanks for supporting Edmonton artists!
